Sue Pugliese is a Michigan based jewelry designer creating original works of Art. Drawing her inspiration from self-reliant women, she is a treasure hunter and fabricator. Hammered, or wrapped sterling and copper beads are the latest designs worked into beaded strands of precious stones and juicy vintage glass. The Huron Valley Council for the Arts hosted another great Opening Reception this month in the Gallery featuring the "Fabulous Fibers" exhibit in the Steeple Hall Gallery on Feb. 6th.
ReplyDeleteOver 28 local and regional weavers, basketmakers, knitters and quilters, along with some facsinating applications in felting, paper and beads were curated for this exciting show. If you haven't yet seen it, the show continues thru February 28th. The Huron Valley Council for the Arts is a non-profit regional arts group providing education,classes, musical performance, lectures and monthly fine art exhibits. That, some chicken mole and a hand-crafted margarita with limones, a mountain view and a gorgeous sunset should thaw me out. Perfect!
